Dr. Richardson grew up in Medford, Oregon and attended Phoenix High School. Later he attended Willamette University in Salem and then Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove. During his time at Pacific he studied and was involved with sports vision research and training as well as the examination and testing of athletes infants & children. Dr. Richardson speaks Spanish and enjoys providing care to Southern Oregon’s diverse population.
Dr. Richardson has been a volunteer for the American Optometry Association, the AOA Sports Vision Section, and the Oregon Optometry Physicians Association (Director of Legislative Affairs). Dr. Richardson has also lectured on behalf of PECAA a ground breaking consulting company promoting and protecting the profession of Optometry. He also lectures to his colleagues regarding patient experience and new technology on behalf of Hoya Vision Care as a consultant to their professional affairs department. In his community Dr. Richardson may be found as an active member of Grants Pass Rotary (Board of Directors), raising money for Hope Floats (Board of Directors) for non-profits, and volunteering at SOASTC (a center for children with psychological trauma). He enjoys participating in marksmanship competitions, rafting, cycling, and running. Most importantly he spends time with his wife Michelle and their two children Kaiden & Kamryn. |
